How to Scan Your Website
Running Your First Scan
AdGateScore makes it simple to find out which ad networks your website qualifies for. The entire process takes about 60 seconds from start to finish. Here is how to get started.
Step 1: Enter Your URL
On the AdGateScore homepage, you will see a large input field at the top of the page. Type or paste your full website URL into this field. You can use either the root domain (example.com) or a specific page URL (example.com/blog). For best results, use your homepage URL so the scanner can evaluate your entire site.
Make sure your URL is correct before proceeding. The scanner will attempt to load the page exactly as you typed it, so double-check for typos. If your site uses HTTPS (which it should), the scanner will handle that automatically.
Step 2: Click Scan
Press the "Scan Your Site Free" button to start the analysis. The scanner will begin evaluating your website across five major scoring modules: performance, content quality, policy compliance, site architecture, and traffic signals. You will see a progress indicator while the scan runs.
A typical scan takes between 30 and 90 seconds depending on your site's size and server response time. During this period, our system fetches your pages, analyzes your content, checks technical metrics, and runs your site against the requirements of 14 different ad networks.
Step 3: Review Your Results
Once the scan completes, you will be taken to your results page. At the top, you will see your overall AdGateScore on a 0-100 scale along with a letter grade from A to F. Below that, you will find a breakdown of your scores across each of the five scoring modules.
The most important section for many publishers is the Network Readiness panel. This shows which ad networks you currently qualify for, which ones you are close to qualifying for, and which ones require significant improvements. Each network card shows a status indicator: green for ready, yellow for close, and red for not ready.
Step 4: Explore Your Fix List
Scroll down to find your prioritized fix list. These are specific, actionable recommendations ranked by impact. Each fix tells you what to change, why it matters, and which networks it affects. Addressing the top items first will give you the biggest score improvements with the least effort.
Fixes are organized by priority: critical issues that are blocking network approval appear first, followed by important improvements that will boost your score, and finally optional optimizations for maximum performance.
Tips for Accurate Results
- Scan your homepage: The scanner works best when pointed at your root domain. It will discover and analyze linked pages automatically.
- Make sure your site is live: The scanner needs to access your pages publicly. Sites behind password protection or in maintenance mode cannot be scanned.
- Wait for your site to load: If your hosting is slow or your site is experiencing downtime, the scan may produce lower scores than normal. Try again when your server is responsive.
- Scan regularly: Your score can change as you make improvements or as your traffic patterns shift. Scanning weekly helps you track progress over time.
